Matteo’s Mission exists to inspire children to lead with courage, serve with kindness, and believe that even the smallest actions can create meaningful change in the world.
Edward William Kostowniak is the author of Matteo’s Mission, a children’s book series rooted in hope, service, and compassion. Trained as a Civil Engineer, his career focused on using practical problem-solving to improve quality of life and strengthen communities. Mr. Kostowniak’s inspiration for writing this series comes first and foremost from his son, Matthew, who passed away at childbirth and forever changed how he sees the world. Through grief, Edward felt a deep calling to transform loss into purpose and meaning.
Matteo’s Mission is a faith-based book series that explores how we can use our gifts to help others. Follow Matteo and his friends on this journey as they help the Village of Onion Valley. Matteo applies lessons he has learned from his Dad, who is a Civil Engineer, to improve the quality of life of his new friends in Onion Valley on a grand scale. More importantly, he follows the teachings of Jesus and learns about God’s plan for us.
Matteo and his missionary friends travel back to Onion Valley to help the villagers build a system to create safe drinking water. Children will learn about nature’s water cycle and how strong bonds are formed with each other and with God.
Matteo and his missionary friends help the villagers of Onion Valley build a solar power plant to light their village. Children will learn about the photovoltaic process and basic electricity concepts.
Funds will help provide essential resources such as clean water access, book donations, community infrastructure, and hands-on volunteer support where it’s needed most.
